Our tour guide, Panya, was very knowledgeable & took very good care of us. He not only showed us the historical sites on the itinerary, but a number of local stops as well so we really got a good sense of the present day cultures & people. We really enjoyed the tour, including meeting so many nice people. Our friend is taking the same tour in April and we hope she has Tu as a guide.
This was our first Gate 1 tour, but based on our experience, it won’t be the last. He made us feel very comfortable and was there whenever we needed him. Our guide was Tu. He took the time to explain not only the sights, but the Vietnamese culture and was extremely diplomatic when explaining the differences in culture between the US and Vietnam.
We had a lot of fun and look forward to our next tour with Gate 1. The group dynamics was probably the best I’ve experienced on any tour. Our tour manager offered many helpful suggestions about local restaurants and attractions.
