I definitely learned a lot and enjoyed seeing that part of the world. By the end of the day, all the dates and names of historic rulers and time fames would just seem to run together. The only one little negative that I will mention, is that sometimes the guides wanted to give us a bit too much history.
It is very evident that they are very proud of the countries. The guides in Siem Reap and Saigon were particularly exceptional. The guides in every city were great.
We have never travelled with guides before so that took a bit of getting use to. But once we saw how easy it was and how difficult it could have been without the expertise of a local guide, we were quite happy that we did it that way. My husband and I had a fabulous time.
